Changes

QBE has got some exciting changes going, aimed at improving turnaround and consistency of service.

We have integrated a great new team of Manila-based QBE staff and have created some central inboxes from which claims, credit control and general processing work can be allocated.

Central inboxes


For Claims and Credit Control, change started Monday, 1 September 2014. To ensure your support needs are handled by the right team, we ask that you start sending information to the following new email addresses:

For your convenience, we have secured new freephone helplines and you can use either

0800 QBE CLAIMS or 0800 723 252.

(Our staff will still be here for you on their current DDIs and email addresses.)

Claims handling – what’s not changing?


A lot of our claims work will continue to be handled by existing staff here in New Zealand, with no change to contact details. For example:

  • all earthquake and other existing claims;
  • all Property and Motor claims > $50K;
  • all Business Interruption, Liability, Marine and Mobile Plant claims.

We’re going electronic


In the future we will be asking you to adopt electronic lodgement of claims forms, statements, invoices as well as supporting information, such as certificate and endorsement requests and submissions, but we will let you know more of that nearer the time.

We will be working hard to ensure that the changes to our processes will be seamless for you.
